I am wanting to have essentially different padding numbers for the different trouble tickets that may come in. For Instance, if its an IT issue the padding digit should be a 6 and then the ticket number comes after that. I got to the 8th trouble ticket test, and then the padding digit was stripped and it start from scratch again.

For the IT issues, I wanted the padding digit to be a 6. Each department would get its own padding digit to separate it logicially for us in the system.

Its not following it correctly, or my understanding of the padding digit might be wrong. Each department is to have its own padding digit and increment 1 time when a new ticket is created.

Pretty sure I got it figured out now. Had to take the padding digit off and make it apart of the sequence number.
