Import DB to new server

It's my first time to post here, and I'm not technical so my apologies.

I need help with migrating an existing DB to a new server. Here is the scenario

Source: OSTicket version v1.14.1, Windows 10 Pro, XAMPP, MySQL MariaDb

DB has been backed up

Destination: OSTicket version v1.14.1, Windows Server 2016, IIS, PGP 7.3

How can I import the DB from the old OSTicket server to the new one?

How you export/import a database from MySQL is dependent on the tool that you want to use to do so.

You can use Mysqldump at command line (Linux).
You can use MySQL WorkBench (Windows) or various other tools.
If you are in a web environment you might be able to use phpMyAdmin.

The short of it is.

export the database from old server.
Copy the .sql file from the export to the new server.
import the database from the .sql file.
create a user, grant it permissions to the restored db.

You would likely want to google how to do this based in your environment using the tool that you want to use to do it.
