Mailer Error

I keep getting the error below even though I have my MTA set to SMTP. Thoughts?

Mailer Error
Unable to email via php mail function:"xxxxxx" mail() returned failure

If osTicket tries to send a mail (SMTP) and fails... then it tries to send it using PHPMail.

So the SMTP failed... it tried PHPMail and that also failed.

I wondered if that is what happened and it is nice to know that is the case. It would be good if that was documented someplace in the interface, even if it is done in a note bubble. It would also be nice to have that configurable in a future release.
