Dear community,

got some probs with osTicket and plugins, maybe anybody can help me. :-/

First of all, is there any option to get some other AD attributes in contact information formular?
i want for example the mobile number added.

Second thing: i installed LDAP authentication and lookup plugin also the adSync from Software-mods.
i changed a phone number of an employee, but its still the wrong number shown in contact information. thought it would update it.

hopefully somebody of you can help me in this cases.. 😀

adSync updates the phone number on my systems. Not in real time because the plugin is set to run every 4 hours, and requires you to be running cron.php on a schedule.

I would recommend that you open a ticket with software-mods if you are using their plugin.

Hey jphilbert,

i already did.
but there are 2 things on this plugin at first.

First time the password of search user is in clear writing, thats not good and working for me. (multildap1.jpeg)

and second thing: "next schedule:" there is always January 01 1970 1:00 am (multildap2.jpeg)

Also changed attributes in active directory not updating in osTicket.
i changed phone number and still the "old" number is written there.

The only plugin I have unpacked is the LDAP one. The PHAR file is a grouping of PHP and other files. You can unpack it and edit the raw files that way. Ultimately what you're going to need to do is A. identify the LDAP fields in AD you want. B. Add those as pulls in the LDAP plugin. C. make sure that there is a field in osTicket (field map) to store the LDAP info.

Again it has been some time for me but the last dive into osTicket I took osticket does not simply look at AD and use its data. osTicket uses its own UID which must match AD and then uses the AD PWD to authenticate to osTicket. I have recently moved orgs. and I am working on installing osticket again. I too have a need to pull and sync to AD. Once I get there I will figure out what is missing for me and I suspect that I will be modding the plugin again....feel free to keep in touch.

It seems that osticket-multildap-auth has not been updated in a couple years.
Do you know if I can user the "Search Base" field in the LDAP plugin from osTicket to filter the users I want to give access to? Only a subset of users should be able to access osTicket.

I know this ticket is old but i tried a couple of things:

I tried adSync and have set it all up but not quite sure what it is supposed to do i.e. does it fill up the agents section with all the users from Active Directory? Reason why i ask is that nothing has happened and nothing in the system messages. Documentation seems very sparse on this. Is there any way i can tell it is working or not from a log file?
I tried osticket-multiauth-ldap from the link above but it is not working in my version and i believe it is being updated but not idea when. I am using v1.15.4 of OSTicket and 7.4.25 of PHP

@Analec you should probably start a new thread for your issues.

adSync simply imports users from AD into osTicket so it sounds like its working correctly.
This plugin makes all the users for you. You do still need to instal lthe Authentication LDAP and AD plugin so that they can authenticated against your AD/LDAP server.

I can't comment on osticket-multiauth-ldap as I have never used it.
