Hello, we have 2 issues with the KB

1) When the user clicks on a link with KB page (eg http://XY.com/kb/faq.php?id=36) and this user is not logged in at the moment , he/she will get to the login page (http://XY.com/)
After he/she logs in, he sees his list of open tickets, but not the KB link he clicked on. Very impractical and basically unusable. How to fix it please ?

2) On our Welcom page, there is „search our knowledge base“ field.
When one tries to search something, he gets a list of all relevant KB articles, including the private ones !!
When he clicks on one of them (and he doesnt know which ones are private vs public), the system gives him page of all public KB articles. Very misleading.
Any way to fix this ?

Thanks!

Your screen shot holds the answer. You have require client login checked whic is what is requiring Users to log in to access the knowledge base.

Uncheck "Require Client Login", and click save.

I do not believe there is a way to fix the second issue however.

Hi, Thank you for your answer. But your suggestion is not what we're looking for. We need our clients to login (otherwise the whole internet would see our KB..). We just want to keep the link, so if you send someone URL with specific KB Topic, the user after the login sees the specific KB Topic and not the homepage if you understand me.

Thanks.

Then you would need to alter the core files to change the behavior.
