Hi,
Before I get into my issue, let me say.. a lot of these posts are too technical for me to understand. So speak in English (not technical talk) please, lol. I am using the latest version of the application

So... I have email through my cPanel.
Here are my Secure SSL/TLS Settings per my email.

Username: alerts@americanva.org
Password: Use the email account’s password.
Incoming Server: mail.americanva.org
IMAP Port: 993 POP3 Port: 995
Outgoing Server: mail.americanva.org
SMTP Port: 465
IMAP, POP3, and SMTP require authentication.

See attachment for my issue. I can send emails directly from this email to another email and I can receive emails from say gmail, to this email address. So.. I don't know what to do with this or what its telling be.

Oh, and i have tried the SMTP with authentication checked yes and no. Same error

Are you sure that port 465 is right? I would think that it would be port 587.

If you require authentication then you would need to have Authentication Required enabled,

You might want to look at the mail server logs to see the result of your authentication attempt. It might give you more information as to why the connection failed.

OMG. Thank you!
Not sure how I was supposed to know that when only Port: 465 was given to me. Its working. Life is golden.

Have a good day!

ntozier changed the title to [resolved] HELP!!! Can't send emails.
