Hi There

I am using version 1.12.1

I added the french language via ftp.

Is there a language pack that automatically creates all french fiels and translations so that I don't have to do all translations manually? Something like a pack?

Thanks in advance

Once you have downloaded to your server then you should see option the change your language

from https://osticket.com/download/#ostLang: "Installing Language Packs
Simply download one or more languages from this page and upload the phar file to the include/i18n folder of your osTicket installation."

And then go to the Admin panel -> Settings -> System -> System Languages
Add the language.
Then go to your profile and change your language to that one and see what everything looks like.

A blank white page indicates a PHP error. Please consult your PHP error logs to see what the error you are getting is.

Of course going to your main page gives me a white page.

7 days later

we checked the php log but there are no errors
what else could it be?

alcero I notice the same blank page error as default ( https://support.alcero.com/?lang=en_US does work though), but even after installing the French language pack in my system I'm unable to replicate the issue - it all works for me. Could the language file maybe have been corrupted during upload? If you go to Admin -> Dashboard -> Information do you see the language pack listed as below?

(You most likely won't have the en_GB one, but I like my u's still present in words 😆 ) You can skip the "for version 1.10" part, as that's the latest language pack there (currently) is from the download page.

EDIT: on the same information page, do you have any PHP extensions with a cross next to them?

alcero Is it possible that in attempting to customise the background for the homepage, there's been a bit of editing that doesn't translate when using the French language pack? If you restore all files to default, does the problem still occur?

If there is a white page then there is a PHP error. If you do not have one then you have PHP error logging disabled.
