I would like to thank you guys for your input so far,
I have just been able to get the account to connect with osTicket. When i said i was lacking sleep you will see it was a simple mistake that i couldn't spot.
The connection has been made on port 110. I decided to start again with all the settings. When i checked the port forwarding status of 110, it was being forwarded to a decommissioned Exchange 2010 Server. Which was on local port 251, the new exchange server is on local port 252. Of course once i corrected the port forwarding rule, it connected.
Now if you remember me saying that other devices can connect using POP3, These devices was using port 995, I am not able to get port 995 to connect in osTicket but at least 110 is now working.
My next steps are to setup SMTP settings along with a windows task to pull email automatically.
I guess you could say the lesson here is check, check and check again that all the basic settings are correct!
I am going to have early night after spends days of having the problem starring at me!!
