Hi all,
We are a small IT department with limited resources. Because of this, we are not always able to create a ticket on the same day as when a problem is reported. Sometimes we have to fix the problem if it is urgent and then add a new ticket afterwards relating to that problem. We add the ticket because we are wanting to log and document everything in osTicket for historical purposes, and to also back ourselves up.
We need to be able to select the created date when creating (or editing in case we forget) a ticket using the standard calendar control (like the Due Date field). This date selection needs to allow us to select a previous (older) date and I have looked all over the place and cannot find a solution for this anywhere. I have seen a lot of requests for this feature (which is a pretty basic one that I would have thought would be part of the standard system).
Are there any clever people out there who are familiar with the latest 1.12.x osTicket structure that could post some step-by-step instructions which would add this feature? If not, can you point me in the right direction in terms of what files I need to modify in order to add this functionality?
Many thanks!
Dazzy.
