I have a french/english support website. Default to french.

It's OK on the website, but email are not translated.

  1. I open a ticket in en (using open.php?lang=en_US) : email sent are in french. Maybe there are a solution here ?
  2. I send an email to support@mysupportwebsite.example.org : always in french (don't find a way except another email ?)

Someone already use a multinlingual instance and find some way to have email template by language ?

Thanks 🙂

Environment details?
Version of osTicket?

Oups … right …

Environment :

  • Debian/Linux
  • PHP Version 7.0.33-0+deb9u3
  • Apache 2
  • MariaDB
  • imap + SMTP server (own) outside (woriking)

osTicket

  • 1.12.x git version (up to date)
  • SMTP and imap configuration OK

Else , currently : i update a little my configuration : i create 2 service : One «Support en français» and one «English support»
I create an email alias support-en for english support service.
But i don't finalize testing to see if support-en can goes to «English support» and support to «Support en français».

But when user select english page : service was not updated. But if english support is selected : email sent was the english one 🙂

I don't find any documentation about such solution : same website + same email + i18n automatically.

🙂

Did you create a department for EN and a Department for FR?
Did you also create a ticket filter to send requests to the EN address to the EN department, and FR requests to the FR department?

The web page should detect the language requested by the web browser, and if that fails when the person logs in it will detect the language set in their profile.

The system can have assigned Templates for each department. So you would set the template (EN or FR) to the department for each.

Yes, but not when starting this topic.

You confirm it's <s>the only</s> a good solution currently 🙂

Thanks a lot 🙂
