Database Migration

I have had to install a new version of osticket onto my server.
This has created a new set of tables in the database as part of the setup process. new tables prefixed as ost2_

Can I moved the data from the old tables ost_ so that the data will be migrated into the new osticket version?

You should have done that prior to running the installer and setting up all the tables.

The good news is that you should be able to it pretty easily.

Take the export from the old server and restore it on the new one.
If you used the same database name, it will not over write the current tables since it sounds like you used a different prefix.
Once you finish the import, go to /include/ and edit your ost-config.php.

Edit the DBNAME, DBUSER,DBPASS, for the new values used (if different)

Then edit the TABLE_PREFIX and your old prefix (presumably ost_).
When you log in if the upgrader needs to run it will.
