Email Fetching (Cron), Dreamhost & OSTicket 1.12

Morning everyone,

I've been in the process of trying to get OSticket up and running for our non-profit and I cannot seem to get email fetching to work properly. Auto-Cron works fine, but when our staff goes extended periods of time without logging in, that is not a long-term solution.

We have the following settings:

Fetching Email via IMAP or POP: Enabled
Mail Box Protocol: IMAP + SSL (set up to the settings of Office 365).
Fetch Frequency: 10 Min.
- Emails per Fetch: 10.
- Email Fetching: Enabled.
- Fetch on auto-cron: Disabled.
- The permissions of the cron.php is set to 755.

I'm about to the point where I'm about to put my head through a wall. Any help would be nice! 😃

/usr/local/php71/bin/php -f /home/(username)/support.swfusar.org/cpi/cron.php

Is the control panel like cron thing that you showed us being executed on the same server or from a remote host?
If its not running cron on the server itself then you would want to setup an API key and run the rcron.php instead.
(it's in the scripts folder of the download archive)

I'm running into the same sort of issue. I'm on 1.14, attempted to run rcron.php but it's showing 404 not found. 🙁

404 not found means that the system does not find the file that you specified so it sounds like you have the path to the file wrong. Double check that you are calling the path to the file correctly.

Also as a side note the rcron.php file is in the /scripts folder of the download archive. So where you put it in your instance is what the path should be.
