Exporting data for migration to 1.12

Hello,

I'm setting up a new clean install instance of osTicket using v1.12. The exiting installation is v1.6ST.

Is there a way that i can export all of the tickets from the 1.6ST installation and import them into my new instance? I realize i can likely upgrade the existing installation and go from there however my heels are being bitten at to retire that host so i'd like to get off of it asap. I wrote a small portion of SQL to just pull ticket information that i believe will be relevant but is there any official SQL to do this? I don't think there's the functionality to do it in the application in 1.6ST.

aja56 The database structure is different (although the upgrader will sort this) so if you want to retire the host the best option is probably to upgrade the existing one to 1.12 and then simply export the database onto the new host.

In theory you can go direct from 1.6 to 1.12, but make sure to have a look at https://docs.osticket.com/en/latest/Getting%20Started/Upgrade%20and%20Migration.html first!

Use MySQL to export your database. Import it into a new database. Run the upgrader.
