I do not recommend the Choices type for more than 2 items. Choices is intended for radial buttons.
If you need several items in please use a List.
Priority Level should not be a Choices field. Its should be type Priority Level, its variable is priority.
Lastly with out knowing the steps to take to reproduce your issue and what your "search" criteria is it would be difficult to attempt to re-create what you are describing.
