[SOLVED] From field (username) not showing in lists

Hi guys,

We have been using OSTicket for nearly a year, have done at least one upgrade during that time. We have just upgraded to 1.11 and the from field has dissapeared from the ticket lists. The icon for multiple watchers is there, just not the raising users name. It still appears fine on other forms but the lists it is just missing. I have attached a screen shot as well as the info page.

I have searched the forum and internet and this does not appear to be a common issue, so anyone any idea what is going on?

Can you go to: Admin panel -> Manage -> Forms -> Contact Information.
And post screen shots of the form, and config for the "Full Name" field.

Hmm. All that looks okay.

I'm wondering why your Email Address and Full Name are not greyed out like phone is.

What do you have set at: Admin panel -> Settings -> Users
for "Name Formatting"?

When did you download the archive?

[would you be willing to re-download from osticket.com/download and copying the files over the current installation]

I downloaded on 21 Feb. The only change I made was the fix for email tickets being created with status_id of 0 so I guess I would be willing to re-run the upgrade with a new download - though the date on the website is definately before I downloaded it.

I have now done a clean install - copied the class.search.php and ost-config.php from the includes directory of the old install, deleted everything else and created it from the download, dropped in the two saved PHP files and nothing has changed ?

I am wondering if a field change etc I made in the old system is not quite as compatible with the new version but am at a bit of a loss as where to start lookingas it was over a year ago I can not remember what changes I made ?

And now we have sorted it - thanks to a collegue forcing me to think through logically. Turns out the main Open queue had the column definition with no data source. Doh.
