[resolved] Outlook SMTP problems

Hello,I have been setting up osticket and been using a test gmail for all the configs that are needed. When i placed the system in the live server using our outlook details it comes back with "authentication failure [SMTP: Invalid response code received from server (code: 535, response: 5.7.3 Authentication unsuccessful " Is there anything i can do on my side?

Sorry about that, just to also add here, fetching of imap works brilliantly.Error logged:Unable to email via SMTP.office365.com Failed to set sender: support@armari.co.uk [SMTP: Invalid response code received from server (code: 530, response: 5.7.57 SMTP; Client was not authenticated to send anonymous mail during MAIL FROM

SMTP settings:

hostname: smtp.office365.com

port 587

Auth required: Yes

Do you have Header Spoofing checked?I use those same server settings and they works in my production sites.

Header Spoofing is unchecked. If i put it checked it comes with the same error.

Are you using a real Exchange account? - Or are you using a shared mailbox?Does the account have permission to connect via IMAP?

Funny thing, i converted that mailbox into an actual account as it was a shared mailbox and i saw that osticket didn't like it too much. I converted it about 6 hours and it's a 6.44Gb (pst size), and since you said you tested those settings on your production sites, i tested with other outlook accounts and they work brilliantly. Is it possible that microsoft is still converting this?

It's possible. Or perhaps there is something on the hood at o365 land that differs from a normal account when you created it vs converting an account like you have done.

Ok, tomorrow i will delete that account then create a new one and import the backup .pst into it. I will post here since this can be used for other users in the future for information.

I would see if it magically starts working tomorrow first. (ie it finished converting it).If it didn't then I would consider deleting the account,. and creating a new one. Or just creating a new one to use with the ticket system.Either way I will leave this open so that you can update it tomorrow.

Hello,Sorry for the double post but it's to say that recreating the mailbox fixed the issue.
