We have an issue with emails --> tickets.
When an email is converted to a ticket (we use IMAP to fetch emails) data in <> symbols is removed.
For example, our voicemails come through as emails and are piped in to the ticket system. The email has the format as follows:
Subject: "New Voice Message <PHONENUMBER>"
The ticket will be downloaded, but that <PHONENUMBER> will be missing. I've tested this several times and anything in <these> will be removed.
Does anyone know a way around this?
