I also would like to know how to search for partial words, I do not find "test" if I search for "tes*" or "tes%"Thank you
I’m able to search for words and partial words...where is the data that you’re trying to search for? Issue Summary, Issue Details, etc.?
Cheers.
tested with summary and details, client-side search. Full word works, partial not.I am using
@[deleted]Ohhh that's why. I thought you were using Agent-side searching. The user-side search has no partial text search options as of now.Cheers.
thanks.any mods that can enable that?
Not that I know of.

I cannot search partial at agent side. If I fill in part of a word in search field next to "advanced search" i do not find anything, only if full word is filled in. Or do you use a special wildcard. Thank you
... using 1.10.4
What exactly are you searching for? It has to be more than three letters as MySQL/osTicket typically doesn't search until at least 3-4 letters.
Cheers.
Hello,
I have got the same problem. If I search "document", osticket returns serveral results. But If I search "documen", osticket doesn't return anything.
For me, searching partial words doesn't work correctly in the agent view.
osTicket versión is v1.10.4, and MySQL version 5.7.17.
Thanks.
Looks like this doesn't work for us either, also on 1.10.4.
Hi,
Recently, I have installed the new osTicket version, 1.11 with MySQL 5.7.17.
However, it is impossible to search partial words. If I search "document", all OK, osticket return results. If I search "docum" or "cument", os ticket doesn't return any results.
This function is activated? Is there a problem with the database?
Thanks.
