configure 'email smtp settings'

hello,

I'm trying to configure my email support (myemail@gmail.com) and I can not for smtp.

i'm using:

SMTP Host: smtp.gmail.com

SMTP Port: 25

Authentication Required? yes

the error is: authentication failure [SMTP: SMTP server does not support authentication (code: 250, response: mx.google.com at your service,

Change the port to 465 or 587.

if i choose the port 587 got the same error that port 25.

if i choose the port 465, the site is blank and nothing happens.

What is blank? A certain page in osTicket? Or everything?

but, then I create a ticket and never get in my mail box.

You are creating a ticket from the osTicket control panel, correct? NOT creating one by email?

Also, which version of osTicket are you running? If I have time today, I'll try to see if I can get it working with my own Gmail account.

Are you running the latest RC of 1.7? RC6? Also, is your osTicket install accessible from outside your local network? I could log on and see if I can get mine to work with it. If not, I'll have to install osTicket again and see what's going on. A little rusty on osTicket, haven't used it in a while.

Is your PHP compiled with imap and mcrypt? (Or if running Windows for your server have you enabled those extensions)

Just so you know, I am having the same issue on my test system as well. It takes the settings, but when I go to the email test page I get a message saying, "Error sending email - try again." I'll see if I can find some settings to fix this.

OK, I was able to get it working on my machine. I think the issue was that the PHP extension php_openssl was not enabled. Try enabling that, and changing your smtp setting back to authenticate: on and it should work.

i enable the PHP extension php_openssl and i havent got any error, but I still do not receive any email. In Settings -> Emails -> Outgoing Emails: -> .. which i choose? "None: Use PHP mail function", or other?

For default outgoing mail, I chose my gmail address.

Hello, iam trying hard to conecting to a mail account, i can't figure it out how to doit.

My php error log:
