Hi there,I've got a strange issue in customers view of the ticket thread. At some point, new messages start to be displayed in thin columns (see attached screenshot). First 5 entries in the thread are displayed correctly and then the next one is messed up. Will be grateful for any ideas what is going on there...Thanks,Sergi

Hello,I am sorry, I didn't provide you with more data. Attached is the screenshot with system info and an issue itself again. The suspect is the procedure that pipes e-mail message into ticket thread. If the message was sent from outlook as html with emoticon inside, it looks osticket for some reason cut the message right on the emoticon living <div> tag unclosed. The rest of the messages are nested in this unclosed <div>.Thank you,Sergi

First thing I would recommend that you download the actual stable from osTicket.com/downloads and install that over whatever version of the code you are running right now from git.

When you have updated your installation with the stable release from osticket.com this issue report could point you out, how to enable support for 4-byte characters (for example emoticons). A little database modification and some files changes are necessary..

I had another thought... what web browser(s) are you using and have you tried a different one?

Thank you for the hints. We tried different browsers - the problem exists in every one of them. OsTicket was installed with Softaculous - version 1.10, I believe there was one file then changed from git that causes displaying version 1.8-git.

Then we are back to: "First thing I would recommend that you download the actual stable from osTicket.com/downloads and install that over whatever version of the code you are running right now from git."

I have the same problem too. my environment:

I have the feeling that this happened when somebody replied to an existing ticket with some strange format. Because if I edit the thread and save, sometimes the thread will be shown correctly again.
