Ok, so this might be an issue then. I didn't know much about the sorting so I played with it and now understand better what it's doing... however.... if you are sorting by ticket number, the heading (as you mentioned) shows "Date Created" but it is in fact showing the date of the most recent update to the ticket - not the create date of the ticket.
see attachments.. ticket 935402 was created at 10 am and last updated at 10 am, but when viewing by ticket number the heading shows date created but displays 10 for that ticket.
