Is there a way to configure OSTicket to send staff emails if a ticket status changes from Closed to Open?
Yes.It's called a New Message Alert.
Does this work even if the status is changed by the system or another member of staff?
It triggers any time the ticket is updated with a message.
But if a member of staff just changes the tickets status they wont leave a message, I guess it wont trigger.I'll have to look into something else, thanks
Which is why you should have them updated the ticket.
