I have a new installation (v1.9.14) with the LDAP plugin authenticating against a AD.I have created a new Agent/Admin (setting the "Authentication Backend" to "Active Directory or LDAP") and upon login of the agent I am defaulted to the "My Account Profile" page for said agent.... how ever I am presented with a little red box stating "Hi AgentName - You must change your password to continue!"... this is my issue, I'm authenticating against AD so there should not be any password change option. And as the statement says I cannot continue which is the case... attemps to change the password in the profile page fail (as expected) and I can not navigate to any other area/page.I have deleted and recreated the Agent several times. Authentication appears to be working as I receive a password error if I entry an incorrect password.Anyone have any ideas as why I'm having this problem?
You have two passwords. The local osticket one.The AD one.Edit the Agent, and uncheck "Force Password Change"?
G'day ntozier, thank you for the prompt reply. Its probably me, but I do not see any "Force Password Change" option when I edit the agent. The closest I've found is under "Settings" "Access" "Allow Password Resets", which I have unchecked.
Admin panel -> Agents -> click on Agent.Under the Authentication section, right before Agent Signature.
LOL. Yeah when the "Authentication Backend" set to "Active Directory or LDAP" the "Allow Password Resets" is not visable. I changed to "-- Use any available backend--" unchecked "Allow Password Resets" Saved. Changed method back to "Active Directory or LDAP" re-saved and all appears to be working!!! many thanks.
Very welcome. :)
