Hello, I have upgraded to the latest version v1.10-rc.3 and the message "Please take a minute to delete setup/install directory (../setup/) for security reasons." will not go away under the admin panel. Yes I have removed the file. The agent panel doesn't display the message only Admin.Any help with this is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi, I have the same issue runnin OS ticket on Synology.Where shall I find the Setup/install folder? Thanks

where ever you put the osticket code to be served by the webserver.

3 years later

I've been having the same issue here! Currently running osTicket v1.14 with PHP v7.3.12 on IIS v8.5. I deleted the setup folder awhile ago, and have ever since been wrestling with my cron job and trying to get my osTicket site available to all my domain users, all the while I've been noticing this banner doesn't seem to subside... Any ideas or suggestions? I've restarted the IIS server as well as its physical host and the banner still won't go away. I feel like this should be straight forward and it's kinda making me feel like an idiot I might be missing something!

ZoshMan While you shouldn't really necro a thread, and ntozier will be along shortly to headshot this one, the setup directory you need to delete is inside the upload folder in your screenshot.

It looks to me like you uploaded more than just the "upload" folder since you apparently have a folder named that.
So in your case the Setup folder would be at C:\IT Service Desk\upload\Setup

RBGE "necro a thread"? The last post is only a month and a half old and this is regarding the exact same issue I'm having?
ntozier I had to have support unlock the thread.. this isn't solved yet! I originally uploaded the wrong screenshot of the wrong directory, but I did in fact delete the setup folder from the upload directory when I first set this all up. Yet the banner still shows?? I performed some searches and double-checks, did some restarts of both the IIS server bare metal server yet this phenomena continues...

        This thread is from 2016.
Version 1.10.rc3. You are running 1.14.
While you have the same symptoms we have no way of knowing if the issue is the same.
Since this is a zombie thread I am going to close it again.
