I really want to use osTicket, but our hosting does not have mysqli, and switching to it would almost certainly break our old CiviCRM installation. Is there any way to use mysql and not mysqli?
I think that you might be confused.mysqli is a set of PHP functions that PHP uses talks to a mysql database. They have been available in PHP since version 5.0.0.Enabling mysqli in your PHP configuration will not affect your other database applications.
You were absolutely correct, my hosting company was confusing me. I'm up and running now :)
Great to hear! I'll close up this thread, but please do not hesitate to start a new thread if you have another question. :)
