How can I stop getting the mails saying "a discussion was flagged" followed by a link?

Click on the Gear by your name in the upper left.Click "Edit Profile".Click "Notification Preferences"uncheck the tick boxes for "Notify me when a comment is flagged."

They should really only be sent to moderators, nobody else can action them.. And I don't have that option, it must be because I'm subscribed to a few topics?

I tried changing a setting for this back on the 11th.I do not know if it will help.

I just flagged a phisher, and immediately got an email about a flagged message.

Do we have "advanced notification" permissions? Maybe you can turn that off?.

Then again, the code itself suggests a different permission:

Maybe it's an artifact from the change to vanilla? We don't see the option because we don't have the Flagging permission, yet we're in the list. Perhaps simply saving the plugin settings will reset the receivers? Either way, there appears to be a config containing our accounts: Plugins.Flagging.NotifyUsers

Happy to take a look if you need another moderator. But this sounds/looks like an admin issue.

I think that it was the advanced notification permission. I've shut that off.Thanks for the research. (I've actually spent the last few days driving from the East Coast to the West Coast, USA).

I've gone through all the users that posted here and disabled the notification for flagging on their accounts. If anyone else has a problem with this please post here or email me and let me know. :)I think that when I change a "groups" permission that it only changes it for new users or something.... Instead of for existing users.
