Email loop detectedIt appears as though <info@scheuermatthof.de> is being used as a forwarded or fetched email account and is also being used as a user / system account. Please correct the loop or seek technical assistance.

The email adresse info@scheuermatthof.de is used as system default. It is one of the main addresses where customer emails are coming in. It is also used as a sender email in the department 'scheuermatthof'. I suppose thats ok, because the customers should also get that address if the send a replay.

Even of that error in the system log, mostly all of my email are sended out.

Email loop detected means that sending the email would create an endless loop.email sent to x@x.tld.results in an email to y@x.tldresults in email being fetched and a announcement/alert generated to x@x.tld.repeat endless loop.

Could it be possible that the 'email loop detected' is somehow a false alarm?Here my configuration:aaaa@mail.com  >>> that's the main e-mail where my customers send her requestsdepartment: aaaa@mail.com agent 1: agent1@mail.comagent 2: agent2@mail.comThe department is using aaaa@mail because thats the sender address. I've read in some other post that I there  should use another e-mail. I can't do that because that would result in customers also sending there feedback to that second e-mail address!?? Notifications only should go to ageng1@mail.com and agent2@mail.com. Never to the aaaa@mail.com of the department.Do I have some missunderstanding?

What does this mean?The department is using aaaa@mail because thats the sender address

If I change the email of the department to department@mail.com all outgoing mails from osTicket from that department to my customers will be send with the sender address department@mail.com instead of aaaa@mail.com

I'm having the same issue "Email loop detected". Please advise - it does not show any email or IP address in the error.

You'll have to look at the emails on your open tickets and the emails used in the ticket system to see if any of them match.
