Ok, having fun and being dramatic, but I'd really like to know an answer to this one.Overall, my osTicket install runs like lightning. We have many other LAMP-based applications here, so I have a separate MySQL server, web servers, development platform, etc... Translation: we aren't seeing any sluggishness in any application, including osTicket, except for perhaps one place....If a manager puts in a ticket on behalf of someone else via email (happens all the time) the ticket gets generated in the manager's name. Then in the course of addressing the ticket, we change it to the real user's name. When we do this we also select the type of problem and throw an internal note in place to indicate that we've done so. Then we save the changes and we get "the spinny wheel of DOOM", which spins for 90-120 seconds before deciding to quit. And sometimes the changes we just made, specifically the change in user, does not take.blankCould we speed up, fix, or otherwise beat to death the spinny wheel of doom so it does not take 120 seconds to do it's job? I have no idea what it's doing back there, but sometimes I feel like my grandma could make brownies from scratch faster. :-)Thanks in advance!-Paul

What version of osTicket are you running? Please help us to help you by reading and following the posting guidelines located in this thread: Please read before requesting assistance.  The more information you give us the better we will be able to assist you. Hi ntozier,Sorry about that. Looks like we are currently on the following:osTicket Version: v1.9.6 (9adad36)Web Server Software: Apache/2.2.15 (CentOS)MySQL Version: 5.1.73PHP Version: 5.6.20Export from uname -a:Linux 2.6.32-573.22.1.el6.x86_64 #1 SMP Wed Mar 23 03 UTC 2016 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/LinuxIf there is further information you need, please let me know. The rest of the info requested on the post you referenced did not seem pertinent to the problem, but I may be wrong. :-)-Paul

1.9.6 is pretty old (and as a side note I do not have the problem you are describing on my main installation which is 1.9.78). There have been a large number of DB and SQL changes in newer versions.  Please upgrade to current and see if that fixes your issues.

Will do. I'll have to wait until off-hours, but I'll reply once done and let everyone know how it goes!

Keep me posted. :)  I dont usually see forum posts after 5pm ish EST until the next day.  But sometimes I get bored while watching TV and troll the forums at night too. :)
