Migrating to osTicket from another system

Dear Forum:This is my first post, so please be kind !I've been tasked with migrating an existing ticket system to osTicket.We have XML files exported from FreshDesk, and would like to import the data. Before I start writing a bunch of code to make this happen, I'm interested to find out if this has been done before,and/or any suggestions to make the transition easier.Thanks,Paul

I working on a migration path from another helpdesk software I migrated from when I am done I will share my results.I mapped out almost eveverything I would need to do it.

I have had success importing users (end users), and extra fields as needed, as well as organizations (or companies). There were some hiccups, but that had to do with wierd linefeeds in the export data I was working with, that was a csv file. It's clunky one time use php code to populate the tables (there are several).
