Need to save mailfetch variables to database

Hello,

I am trying to insert the sender, cc and TO email addresses in the db for each message received. I have created three new fields in the ost_ticked_thread table for this but i have no success populating them.

Anyone can suggest someting?

So... osTicket already does this?

Well, osTicket automatically collects them all as Collaborators at Ticket level. However, our business model requires us to have full control of what email addresses are in the TO or CC field, for every message that gets in or out.For this i created 3 new fields in table ost_ticket_thread: from, to and cc. Once the data is in there i will be able to use it, but for some reason i can't figure out how to populate the fields.

I'm not real sure that you would be able to do what you are trying to do with out some serious coding efforts and editing of the source.

Definetly need to edit the source. I was thinking is not to difficult to save the emails in the db since the function is already reading these email header variables one by one. From what i could see it knows clearly which email is the sender and what is the list of receivers. It seems that it also loops the cc list.

The information is already saved to the database.You're trying to save it in an additional location other then where it belongs.

It was easier in 1.6 and we successfully used this custom buily for 3 years. We want now to upgrade and we are kept on stop because of this
