Disabling Rich Text in the Ticket Thread and Auto Responses

Is there a way to do it individually for departments? I know there is a global setting, and one department has requested this to get around the problem with not being able to continue typing in a response after pasting information into the response. I am not aware of a way to selectively de-activate rich text in the ticket thread/autoresponses. You might be able to do it some how by altering the code, but I wouldn't begin to know where you would want to do that..."to get around the problem with not being able to continue typing in a response after pasting information into the response."This is interesting though. Perhaps you should upgrade... because I routinely paste things into responses and can still type afterwards.

In the past, I was told the copy/paste issue was a common java redactor problem, that there wasn't really a good fix for (your suggestion of clicking the <> didn't work well for us)http://www.forum.osticket.com/d/discussion//unable-to-continue-typing-a-reply-after-pasting-information#latestWe had upgraded to 1.9.12 but had some very bizarre behavior when trying to add attachments to responses, that seemed to go away when we rolled back to 1.9.9, and since 1.10 is likely right around the corner, we have just been waiting.

I guess that you would just want to wait for 1.10 to be released and try that then. Thanks for linking the other thread, it reminded me of the conversation. I've never had a problem adding text after clicking on the <> button though. That's bizarre. The other thing that I do when I have issues inserting text (although only for canned responses being put at the wrong place) is to refresh the page by logging out and back in.
