[resolved] Confirmation email link

I've just installed the latest software and I have a problem... When I customer signs up, an email is sent to confirm their email. But when you click on the link, it takes you to the main home page and it won't activate the account... Can someone please help.. I'm new to all this.. I've even removed everything completely and reinstalled it several times but it still won't work.. Thanks in advance

I've corrected the problem thanks. The issue was in the url link. I added at the end index.php. It should have stayed as upload/ only instead of upload/index.php weird that.
