Can't see the screenshot since it seems not to be made available for the public.

Beside, can you provide more info about your osTicket, so we can better assist you:

And have you checked your PHP error logs?

Thanks Chefkeks, I am trying to attach file but its not working. any way please find link below. I have tried same osticket folder by installing apache on window hosting, its updating SMTP password inside db but when i am using same thing on IIS its not updating. I have tried inside same system with common db.Click to view issue screenshotClick to view os-ticket informationRegards,

That is really strange. Not sure if 1.9.9 had issues with SMTP password storing, but it cannot be harmful to update to 1.9.12 ;)

Since we use apache and I am not so experienced with IIS, but forum supermoderator @[deleted] uses IIS and I'm sure he can better assist here since for me it looks like an IIS issue.

My 1.9.7 and my 1.10 installs... neither display a password in that field. Why do you think that it isn't being saved to the db?

when you click save on the email configuration , it attempts to login to the smtp server if you required authentication and did not have it it would issue a warning and say cannot connect.if that did not happen i would venture to say the password is being saved and there is a different problem.BTW the password is never displayed it only allows you to change the password not see the password

Hi All, what you are saying is correct but wonder is when i am running under Apache, i can see the password has been updated in "userpass" field of ost_email table but when i run on IIS ( same common database), template of login to smtp server displaying successfull message but USERPASS field is empty. and  alert mails are not working. I tried to update same encrypted password in "userpass" field mannually but when i seen in template screen, its displaying NOTHING in password field. If you want to see, i can give access of my server.Regards,

when you say you added the encrypted password manually it displays nothing in the password field , what do you mean?do you mean the column in mysql remains blank?

I have updated in mysql filed "userpass" and when i had checked in email configuration screen, i found blank field. This issue is not happening in Apache hosting.

"and when i had checked in email configuration screen, i found blank field."As I said before my 1.9.7 install:blankMy 1.10rc2 is the same way.  My mail works.  No password is displayed.

its not working for me. I have tried with hard code smtp file in my server, it works. Please let me know how can i hard code smtp configuration in os-ticket file atleast.
