I am running OsTicket :v1.9.9-1-gbe2f138 (be2f138)

Web Server Software

Apache/2.2.22 (Ubuntu)

MySQL Version

5.5.44

PHP Version

5.3.10-1ubuntu3.19I tried to upgrade to 1.9.12 and I receive the error above.  I have not modded the system. How do I upgrade from the release I am running?

I just did a clean install of V1.9.9-1 into a different subdirectory.  I created a base SQL DB and compared all of my tables and settings.  I cannot see any difference so have no clue why I cannot run the upgrader. I need some help, is it possible to bypass the error message somehow.

I do not understand why your osTicket wants to do a database upgrade. The last database upgrade was with 1.9.4 (iirc). So normally going from 1.9.9 to 1.9.12 should be possible without any database upgrades by just replacing the PHP files.

I am going to try backing everything up, then refreshing the directory for 1.9.9-1 and then trying the upgrade on top of that.  Very frustrating.

I pinged the devs to take a look at this thread.

OK - I just backed everything up then extracted v1.9.11 (c1b5a33) , it is working after I fixed the old PEAR php double declaration issue.  I just ran a test and I still have the same issue that guest users opening tickets do not have any of the contact information saved ( phone number and any custom fields ).

So do I understand it correctly that you solved the upgrader issue, but now have the issue that phone number and other custom fields of an user are not saved?

If so, I suggest to start a new discussion for that new issue and closing this discussion/issue.

This discussion can be closed as resolved.I have another discusssion regarding guest user info not saved to DB here:http://forum.osticket.com/d/discussion//guest-user-contact-info-not-saved-to-db#latest
