How to change the email field

I need to make the phone number the main "User" field and email is optionalHow to switch the email field to be the phone number?

umm theres a option to make the domain part of the mail user field hard-coded, if this can be possible the user id part can be a phone numberwell i wish that the view.php page that actually ask for mail, only ask for "user id part" of the mail, and the "@domain" part a hardcoded ...my interest its that user only write the user part and not the complete email..
