imap gmail doesnt work, no error in the log

Hi,Ive upgraded my server to the latest 1.9.9 and also moved it to a new server.smtp email works, but imap isnt working and i get no errors in the logi used a small php script to test the php imap and it seems to be okhow do i test this to see whats failing?

Is the cron setup required? i dont recall using it before. but since its mentioned i will check!

looks like there is a cron job running on the old server, so i've added that to crontab on the new box.and deselected the tickbox. hopefully thats what it was.
