I am trying to install osticket 1.9.9 . While creating new agent (staff.php) even though I am giving a valid email, I am getting the error "Valid email is required".
Can anyone please suggest a solution for this problem.

Let me add some more details of my installation: I am using PHP-5.4.12 and MySQL -5.6.12. in a Windows 2008 Server.
Make sure the email domain has a valid DNS or MX record - osTicket tries to verify that.Otherwise disable email verification under Admin Panel > Settings > Emails
