As far as I know the email verification checks if there is either a valid MX record or A(AAA) record for the email domain. So once you verify that this is the case and the machine osTicket is running can also check that I guess everything should be fine.Don't know if there are any additional checks osTicket performs to make sure it's a valid domain, but MX and A(AAA) record are definitely checked when I remember correctly.
