change language from default english to spanish

Hi, I installed 1.9.8.1 in english and downloaded the spanish .phar into i18n directory and applied perms of 0555 to file.I understand that some instructions are "there"..but I dont know what else to do after this brief instruction in the donwload page and what are the next steps. Note: I want to install site wide the language for everybody both new and soon to be created users, english is NOT an option here."Installing Language PacksSimply download one or more languages from this page and upload the phar file to the include/i18n folder of your osTicket installation."

You cannot change the default language site wide at this time. That feature is coming next version.

If I want to reinstall with spanish site-wide enabled, what will the procedure be?

The same that you followed when you installed in the first place.Except that you would put the additional language file in place prior to running the installer.Then when you run the installer you would select the other language.As a side note: the multi language feature is not done at this time, and the next version when it is released pushes it forward a lot, so you really should probably wait if this is a production site.

I'm on v1.9.8.1, to achieve the change of global language, follow this steps:I had a few issues trying to set it from installation sequence, so I installed English by default. Install the language package that you prefer.Once done that it's needed to edit the database since there is no option in the admin panel to change it, the table is ost_config, key, value (or the language you have installed)And that's it!

My understanding is that this doesn't give you the templates in the chosen language and you would have to translate them.
