With osTicket getting a lot of architecture over-hauls lately (and slowly converted to ORM) - it would be great to see a PHPUnit project folder start to get implemented. This would not only help speed up stabilizing future deployments for existing things that get broken on a next release, but it would also have the added benefit of helping users that like to mod (like myself ) test the impact on existing code faster.I know unit testing is a lot like pulling teeth in the beginning (especially if its for an existing application with no unit tests currently available) - but I believe osTicket would benefit highly from having them (especially for being an enterprise-level application that will last for many years to come).
Thanks for the feedback -- unit testing is planned as part of a even bigger overhaul, that will make core osTicket be framework based. That said, we have small & useful tests in setup/test directory -- php setup/test/run-tests.php
Thanks for the info Peter! Great to know :)
