Would it be possible to add a feature whereby a comment is required when marking a ticket as closed or resolved? I wouldnt like for people to be able to simply close them out without some reasoning being required.Also, what is the OSTicket definition of Resolved tickets versus Closed ones?
if you close it via the Change Status in the right uper head, no emails will be send, an you also won't have to make a "comment"Resolved tickets can be opened again. Closed tickets are closed and the Customer can't open them again.
Yes, thats what we've seen, but we wouldnt like for agents to be able to close tickets without an explanation.
I'm not aware of a way to force a comment on close currently.
