[resolved] taking e-mail messages with attachment's up to 50 MB

Hi,my question is how to configure the osTocket to take e-mail messages with attachments's size up to 50 MB.P.S. No problem with files attached through osTicketThank you in advance.

This isn't really an osTicket question.1. Configure PHP to accept such large files by altering the upload_max_filesize directive.For more information on this directive see:http://php.net/upload-max-filesize2. Restart the Webserver software. (Varies by Webserver)3. Alter your osTicket Attachment settings at Admin panel -> Settings -> Tickets. Note that you can also specify a different size for agents and users.

Hi, As I told we have no problem with attached files up to 50MB through osTicket. But we have problem with receiving email messages with attached files bigger than 2 MB. In php.ini upload_max_filesize directive = 50 MB

Since I am not sure myself which php.ini affects email attachments, I personally would try to change all php.ini's. For example under a linux web server there is usually a php.ini for cli and one for the apache web server. Don't know if that helps or affects email attachments, but at least give it a try ;)

I set the option upload_max_filesize (= 50 MB) in php.ini before posting my question on the forum, but problem still exist. So I do not know what I need to check to resolve faced problem.

Can you provide more info about your osTicket?Admin Panel > Dashboard > System Information ;)

I do not have any further suggestions.osTicket gets its allowed file size settings from your php. Which is controlled by your config file (php.ini) on your webserver. This is not an osTicket issue per se but appears to be one that you have in administering your server.When you make changes to PHP's php.ini you must restart Apache (not the OS). I suppose that its possible if you are running SELinux that it might have a security rule limiting filesize also... but I wouldn't think so.

Again asking if you changed all PHP.ini's?

Under Linux with an apache there are at least 2 PHP.ini's and as already said I am not sure which one is the effective one for mail attachments.

Currently with my phone and not on the desktop, but if I remember correctly:

/etc/php5/apache/php.ini

and

/etc/php5/cli/php.ini

Especially the second one (cli) is currently the only chance I still see why it does not work and may could work then.

It was my mistake. I have allowed in "Agent Maximum File Size", but not in "EndUser Attachment Settings". Excuse me for my carelessness.
