Hello,I have a problem with installing the French language pack on a new installation of osTicket.I have a shared web hosting and probably PHAR is not activated.I have uploaded the files of the new 1.9.5.1 osTicket version and uploaded the french PHAR file in a FR_fr folder in include/i18nAt setup, I am able to select french language, but after installation, everything remains in english, even though I click on the french banner. How is it possible to install a language pack when you don't have PHAR extension on PHP and when you have no possibility to unzip PHAR files ?www.unphar.com seems not to work anymore by the way ... I would be happy if you could make it simpler to install a language pack. Thank you !

Whats the default language of your computer?

My understanding is that osTicket detects the users language string from the webbrowser.  Also individual accounts have an over ride setting in their preferences.  I'd check that.

Actually I'm not sure at all osticket installation has been able to extract and use the french language pack. How am I supposed to extract it if the PHP server hasn't the Phar extension activated ? Is it possible to have the language packs in another archive format ?

If phar isn't enabled (which is is by deafult in 5.3+) then you would be getting a PHP error.Q: How am I supposed to extract it if the PHP server hasn't the Phar extension activated ?A: you would have to either find someone to extract the files for you, or extract them yourself.  Personally I am not a fan of .phar.Q: Is it possible to have the language packs in another archive format ?A: The only way that they are currently distributed is .phar.  Remember the multilanguage feature is not complete at this time.

I am pretty sure the Phar files haven't been extracted since the original .phar file remained in the directory I uploaded. Option was provided at installation to choose French but in the end it appears files were not extracted and interface/admin is not in french.Actually I don't want multilanguage : just french. I don't need english :-)So I suppose I have to delete all files and database, reinstall the script, completely remove en_EN , extract fr_FR at the right place and re-run the script ?

"I am pretty sure the Phar files haven't been extracted since the original .phar file remained in the directory I uploaded."That is correct.  It does not need to extract them. You just need to choose French at time of install. Then make sure that your user(s) have that as their chosen language.

On Information / about this osTicket InstallationosTicket says that PHAR is correctly installed, but that there is no language pack installedhowever, i have been able to select french as a main language for the userthis is very strange.. something goes wrong..how am i supposed to do to install a language pack ?

Quoted from http://osticket.com/download"Installing Language Packs

Simply download one or more languages from this page and upload the phar file to the include/i18n folder of your osTicket installation"

I installed a fresh new install and it worked perfectly :- renamed the folder en_US to something else- put the fr.phar file at the folder i18n and not in a subfolder fr_FR like I didIt worked perfectly in french at once, at install and at runtime.Thank you !
