It's in responsibility of your and our company to update all desktop computers to use a more modern MS IE browser. That's why I recommend to continue dropping MS IE support for the STAFF pages.
Unfortunately, it's not in our responsibility to force our customers to update all workstations with MS IE 8 (respectively 9) to a newer browser version :-(That's why I recommend to support MS IE <= 8 (respectively 9) at least in that way that on the customer portal pages (with buttons create ticket and review ticket)no JQuery errors occur (e.g. by dropping all JQuery code resulting in lesser features for IE 8 (respectively 9)browsers, but at least they're enabled to send tickets to the ticket system without errors - resulting in a much better image of our company)there is a popup layer on top of the screen warning that an old MS IE <= 8 (respectively 9) is not supported any more and user should upgrade MS IE or use an alternative browserUnfortunately 2: customers don't care about osTicket - they just know our company and see a ticket system provided by us with errors and automatically imagine on our general product quality
(I'm writing these lines with osTicket v1.9.3 installed - if this issue already changed in v1.9.6, please review my comments under this background.)
