Upgrading 1.9.4 to 1.9.5

The main reason for doing this is to implement the cross-scripting issues fixes. I have made quite a few mods to the staff (agents) code. Can you tell me the best way to upgrade so that I can maintain my changes?Is it possible to get a list of changed files in the vanilla 1.9.4 to 1.9.5 distributions or can I find out which files to change to implement the XSS changes.Thanks

Thanks,I always keep a vanilla download of any version so that I have a reference set of files. In addition I have a detailed list of all changes I have made. I assume that only a small subset of the source files have been changed going from 1.9.4 to 1.9.5.1. Do you know, has the database schema changed at all? I was hoping that, if I can find the file(s) that the changes to handle XSS security is/are made in I could just apply those myself to my 1.9.4 installation.

That's something I would not recommend (changing only the XSS security related files).Since there was no database change between 1.9.4 and 1.9.5.x you can e.g. also use a second directory with the latest version and point this to your database - so you can use the same database with different osTicket versions and then try to apply the changes to the new 1.9.5.x release ;)But always make sure to have a database backup before doing that!
