How to find ALL tickets from a certain user?

I have a problem/question- got OST1.6 final. I want to (as a staff) be able to look up ALL tickets created by "john smith" -- whether they are open/closed/whatever status. I just want all of them in a list.

Apparently this isn't possible?? I can leave the "Status" field at "ANY" but it only shows me OPEN tickets then. Apparently I have to specifically select "Closed" in order to show those, otherwise they don't appear.

Has anyone else run into this problem? Found any workarounds? I picked through the code at /staff/tickets.inc.php which I think is the key but I am at a loss.

I cannot reproduce your trouble on my 1.6ST installation. Did you made any modification over the original installation?

I have made several modifications but nothing that should affect this. Are you sure you're testing this correctly? By this I mean, make sure in your ticket system you have someone with both open & closed tickets. Then, search for that user name using first the status dropdown set to "Any" (which on my system, only shows "open" tickets") and then set to "Closed" which does show closed (but not open) tickets. Can anyone else verify this??

Yes. i did it.

I searched by user name and the system shows both open and closed tickets.

I get both open and closed tickets as well on my installation. Must be something you did in one of your mods causing this.
