Changing the text on the landing page

Hi,I would like to be able to change the indicated text in the attached image .Can anyone please assist me in doing that?Cheers,Brett blank

You will need to edit the theme.css file located in var/www/assets/default/css. Under textarea, there is a font-family tag. Change that to the font you would like to use. Hopefully I can attach the image correctly. The info you want to change is on around Line 17. Hope that helps.

Version of osTicket?What do you mean by "change the indicated text".If you mean change the font, etc, then @[deleted] is correct.If you mean actually change the text to other words then you may need to edit/include/client/header.inc.php is the header./include/class.nav.php generates the menu/index.php has the landing page that isn't controllable at Admin panel -> Manage -> Pages -> Landing page.Please help us to help you by reading and following the posting

Sorry, I dont think I explained myself very well.For option number one, I would like to change the words that are used there, I would like to change " Open a new ticket" to " Submit you idea". I cant work out where in the coding to change thisFor option 2, I would like to remove that section of text from being displayed altogether, I would like to comment it out, but again, I cant see where to do it.Regards,dooley

To change the text mentioned in option one, go to /var/www/include/client/ and edit open.inc.phpSearch for the text "Open a new ticket" in that file and change that text. Looks like this in the code:<h1><?php echo __('Open a New Ticket');?></h1>Haven't found the 2nd part in the code yet. Looks like the Contact Information Form which can't be deleted or disabled from the GUI. If I find it in the code, I'll post it here

Option 2 is located in the same file (open.inc.php) on about line 70.Having trouble commenting it out. Keep getting a parsing error with unexpected '}'I'm not a PHP programmer, so I'm not seeing how to correct that issue, but maybe that'll point you in the right direction.

DISCLAIMER: I am not going to try this myself, nor am I going to recommend this either as I don't know the repercussions of such action!But if you go into phpmyadmin, and edit the ost_form, you'll see the Contact Information form listed there. It is possible to just delete it there, but again, I have no idea what affect that will have on anything else. Make backups and try at your own risk. That's the only other place I can find any mention of that specific form.
