German Language

Hi!I tried to install. 1.9.5.1 with the files from http://i18n.osticket.com/. The interface is partially translated but not everywhere. Changing the language to English doesn't change the German parts into English. Using the de.phar is useless even if I use it for a fresh install. Any suggestions or hints?

Which interface?The multi language feature has never been announced as done or ready.

For example when creating a new ticket. There are some German texts, the rest is in English. Is the language pack German working in the version 1.8?

Just to clarify. I don't wont multilanguage, I only want German if possible. As I read through the postings I found out that multilanguage support will come with later releases.

First, you should use the language pack from www.osTicket.com/download and second let me mention that you need to set up a fresh installation with German as the primary / install language that the email templates and so on show up in German.

At the moment it is not yet possible to use the German email templates etc. on an already existing English osTicket installation by adding the de.phar. This will for sure change with some of the future versions, but for now it is not possible and you need to set up a fresh installation.

Thank you. So I have to create a "de" directory und put the de.phar into it. Then delete the en_US directory to get a German installation? Fresh install is clear.

No, just place the de.phar in /include/i18n. That's all. There is no need to create an extra de subfolder or so ;)

Q: Is the language pack German working in the version 1.8? A. version 1.8 does not support the language packs.

I did it like chefkeks explaint it. Works like a charm. Put the de.phar in the /include/i18n directory and delete the "en_US" directory. Run setup script. PERFECT!
