Looking through the changelog file on github for the 1.7 release series, I'm not seeing that this has been corrected, nor am I finding anyone noting this issue in the forums here (although it may have been, and I have not located it):

In 1.6, when posting within the support thread--any posts--I have noted that text contained within carats "<>" entirely disappears when posting/stubbornly refuses to be posted within the post. Not sure what causes this, but I suspect that the "strip" feature for e-mail replies may have something to do with it.

This is problematic, as it makes it impossible to post important text within the support thread, such as full e-mail headers and/or sections of code. If this has not been addressed in the 1.7 release series, it should be prior to final release. For example, today when I tried to reply within a support thread with this, it disappeared entirely, leaving only the text in front and following it. The only way to get this type of text into a thread is to include it in an attached file--cumbersome at best:

Thanks!
