Hi, so I have been reading on here for the past 3 or so days and am very interested in finding someone that can break this down for me so that I can get the response I am seeking. Which, in my own respect, I know a lot about my field and people that manipulate code do too. So, out of respect, I ask for your knowledge and if you are interested, we can trade knowledge.
Either way, here we go:
It's very specific and it needs to be simple, it's going to be in addition to the ticket system in place already, obviously, but I need the ticket ID to look like the following EXAMPLE.
New ticket generated by the SYSTEM:
First Ticket: #HYF-587456
Second Ticket: #BRS-216985
Third Ticket: #NSG-774692
The first three letters need to be COMPLETELY RANDOM UPPER CASE, then the hyphen (-) then SIX COMPLETELY RANDOM NUMBERS. I know, very specific, but I have a need for this, as this is what my customers are FAMILIAR with, since I am now using osTicket instead of Kayako.
I will need instructions that a high-schooler would understand, even in my old age, because I have tried many attempts from online and I have had to return from my backups every time because I muck things up.
Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
